Job Description

The Agricultural Internship role performs a wide range of activities in a real-time production environment. The Intern is assigned mentors who provide active learning experiences and achievement objectives.

Objective 1: District Operations

  •  Learn and support District Team with field inspections and risk assessment reporting. Intern will create weekly SWD severity reports and communicate findings to growers.
  • Retrieve and review spray records with Entomology team member.

Objective 2: Water Usage

  • Learn and support on water usage and efficiencies in berry production throughout the district by supporting to implement and use water use monitoring technologies and effective reporting.

Objective 3: Berry Growing Practices

  • Understand the berry industry by supporting on infield trials for berry growing practices through sharing of best practices through findings from analysis from top performers and lower performers to close our performance gap.


  • Willingness to learn and apply classroom knowledge in a real-time environment
  • Bilingual – English and Spanish preferred
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong decision-making/problem-solving
  • Strong ability in planning and prioritizing
  • Strong data analysis
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and/or agricultural software applications
  • Internship specific technical skills and knowledge
  • Valid California Driver’s License


  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university, pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an agricultural science or business related field of study
  • No working experience required


  • Travel to production locations as assigned.
