Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated independent Grower Representative to join our team.
As a Grower Representative, you will play a crucial role in driving the adoption of our all-natural pesticide within the agricultural farming regions of California. Your primary responsibility will be to develop strong relationships with growers and distributors, showcasing the benefits of our product and effectively closing sales. You will be at the forefront of expanding our market presence and contributing to the sustainable growth of our company. As an independent contractor, you will have the opportunity to work on a flexible schedule and manage your own business while contributing to our dynamic team.
Target Sales Regions: North State (Colusa, Glenn, Sutter, Yolo, etc.); Central Valley (Stanislaus, San Joaquin, Merced, Madera, Central Coast); South Valley (Fresno, Kern, Tulare, Kings,)
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and prospect potential growers and distributors within the assigned California agricultural market.
- Conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends and identify growth opportunities.
- Schedule and conduct meetings with prospective clients to present our all-natural pesticide solution.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling sales materials and targeted campaigns.
- Negotiate and close sales agreements, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
- Track and analyze sales data to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide regular feedback to the management team on market insights and customer needs.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, or 5 years experience in a related field.
- Proven experience in B2B sales or business development within the agricultural industry.
- Strong knowledge of California’s agricultural market and key farming players in the region.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with CRM software for sales tracking and pipeline management.
- Communication platforms such as Zoom.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Highly motivated with a proactive and positive attitude.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
