DEVELOPMENT AND EVENTS ASSOCIATE
Protecting the Golden State’s working rangelands for generations to come is a monumental goal. Playing a key role in accomplishing that goal can be a personal gratifying achievement for many people. Now there is an opportunity to play that role and feel the pride of knowing you helped permanently conserve thousands of acres of valuable rangelands throughout California.
California Rangeland Trust is a non-profit organization founded in 1998 by a group of innovative cattlemen and cattlewomen, with a goal to conserve the open space, natural habitat and stewardship that can be found on California’s ranches. At the Rangeland Trust, we work with California ranching families and future generations to preserve our Golden State’s rangeland, air and water quality, wildlife habitat, and local food supplies. We are pleased to have helped permanently protect over 365,000 acres of privately-owned rangeland.
The Rangeland Trust is seeking a Development and Events Associate to join its team of conservation professionals as it works to protect the next 365,000 acres of valuable working rangelands. The Associate ensures smooth, responsive, and friendly service to California Rangeland Trust supporters and partners in conservation. This includes responsibility for valuable and accurate data going into and coming out of our donor database, supporting the execution of quality donor events, and providing responsive customer service for gift processing and events-related calls. The Associate also provides valuable internal service for the organization through administrative support of the Fund Development & Outreach Unit.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of non-profit experience, preferably in development/fundraising, successful experience in event planning, sponsorship, marketing, and public relations, database management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
