Accounting Specialist, full-time in person position located in the Colusa Branch, Colusa CA

About Colusa-Glenn Farm Credit:

Farm Credit Services of Colusa-Glenn, ACA (aka the Association or Colusa-Glenn Farm Credit) is a member-owned cooperative that provides credit and credit-related services to or for the benefit of eligible borrowers (members) for qualified agricultural purposes in the counties of Colusa and Glenn in the state of California. The Association is a lending institution of the Farm Credit System (FCS), a nationwide system of cooperatively owned banks and associations, which was established by Acts of Congress to meet the credit needs of American agriculture and is subject to the provisions of the Farm Credit Act of 1971, as amended (the Farm Credit Act).

The Association provides financing and related services through its Federal Land Credit Association (FLCA) and Production Credit Association (PCA) subsidiaries. The Association maintains its corporate headquarters in Colusa (Colusa County) and a branch office in Willows (Glenn County).

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

The accounting specialist position is integral to the success of our Association, providing customer service both internally and externally.  This position processes various transactions in the accounting department pertaining to borrowers, loan credit staff and other Farm Credit Associations. The accounting specialist prepares monthly recurring entries and subledger reconciliations, assists in loan set up and closing, provides customer service to the front desk as needed and maintains files both, paper and electronic.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in accounting or business
• 2 years of related experience in banking or accounting
• Skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong customer service and team skills
• Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite

Compensation:

The Base salary for this position ranges from $45,000 (minimum) – $55,000 (maximum) annually, depending on experience.  This position is eligible for our annual incentive program in addition to base compensation.
