Henderson Farms is offering 2 paid internships.

Summer Internship: Henderson Farms is seeking an individual who wants hands-on experience caring for almond orchards, maintaining equipment, learning irrigation practices, and helping track inventory. Interns will gain exposure to various aspects of the almond industry, contribute to project success, and develop essential business and farming skills. The nature of the internship is flexible and can be adjusted to align with the candidate’s preferences. Interns can receive college course credit (upon request). Fall Internship: Henderson Hulling and Shelling is seeking an individual interested in hands-on experience in almond processing, quality control and equipment operations. Interns will gain exposure to various aspects of the agricultural processing industry and work in a dynamic team setting. Interns can receive forklift certification and college course credit (upon request). Interns must be available from August-October. For both internships we are looking for individuals who follow instructions well, have a teachable nature and eagerness to learn, possess a keen attention to detail and thrive in a team setting.

Job Types: Full-time, Internship

Salary: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

During Harvest Expected hours  72 to 84 hours per week.

Schedule:

  • 8  to 12 hour shifts
  • During harvest you might be asked to work 6 to 7 days a week at 12 hour shifts.
