ABOUT THE AGENCY

The Orland Project is comprised of approximately 21,000 acres of irrigable land. The source of OUWUA water supply originates over a 735 square mile watershed, which covers the eastern slope of the coastal mountain range. Runoff water is funneled into East Park and Stony Gorge Reservoirs and stored, pending releases. Orland Unit Water Users’ Association is located on the western side of the Sacramento Valley. The project comprises water storage facilities at three reservoirs and a distribution system servicing irrigable land surrounding the town of Orland and Glenn County.

Stony Creek and its tributaries provide the source of water for the Orland Project. The project features:

• East Park Reservoir
• Stony Gorge Reservoir
• Rainbow Diversion Dam
• Black Butte Reservoir
• Northside Diversion Dam
• 11ac Regulation Pond with 38ac/feet storage
• Distribution System consisting of 150 miles of canal and lateral ditches

Experience: (5) years of irrigation or water agency, including administrative or supervisory responsibility. Must have or be willing to obtain a Qualified Applicators Certificate Category C, Right of Way, Category F, Aquatic, from California Department of Pesticide Regulation along with a valid class ”C” California Driver’s License.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Salary Range: $140,000 – $190,000 dependent on experience and qualifications
